The Discord extension lets you connect an Atlas character to a Discord server. The character responds in-channel using its personality, description, and attributes as context — powered by Wigma’s AI.

Setting up the Discord bot

1

Enable the extension

In your project’s Configuration, enable the Discord extension.
2

Choose a character

Select an Atlas character to power the bot. The character’s description and attributes define its personality in Discord.
3

Connect to Discord

Follow the authorization flow to add the bot to your Discord server. You’ll need Manage Server permissions.
4

Start chatting

Once connected, your character responds to messages in the designated channel. Server members can interact with it directly.

How it works

The bot uses the same AI engine as Chat with Character, but exposed to your Discord community. It draws context from:
  • The character’s description and attributes
  • Your Atlas entries (places, items, lore) for world-accurate responses
  • The conversation history in the channel

AI usage

Discord bot messages consume your AI quota, using the same metering as other AI features. See Usage Quota & Limits for details.
The Discord extension is available on Starter, Pro, and Teams plans.
