Create a project

1

Create a new project

From the home screen, click “New Project” and give it a name. Projects organize your documents, atlas entries, and settings together.
2

Add your first document

Inside your project, create a new document in the content tree on the left sidebar.
3

Start writing

Begin typing in the editor. Your work saves automatically.
Use Cmd/Ctrl + B for bold and Cmd/Ctrl + I for italic to format text quickly. See all shortcuts on the Keyboard Shortcuts page.

What’s inside a project

Each project contains:
  • Content tree — folders and text documents where your writing lives
  • Atlas — characters, places, items, and lore that support your world
  • Scratches — quick notes and fragments you haven’t placed yet
  • Configuration — project-level settings, themes, and extensions
