Timelines are an essential part of the Atlas for tracking the sequence of events in your narrative. They help you avoid plot holes and ensure your story flows logically.

Managing Timelines

1

Create Events

Add key events to your timeline, such as character births, historical wars, or major plot points.
2

Set Dates and Durations

Assign specific dates or relative timeframes to your events to establish how long they last and when they occur in relation to one another.
3

Link to the Atlas

Connect events to specific Characters and Locations to see who was involved and where the event took place.
Timelines are especially useful for complex narratives with multiple viewpoints or non-linear storytelling, helping you keep track of the “true” chronological order of the world.
