Welcome to Wigma! This guide will help you get up and running with our collaborative writing platform quickly.

Wigma is available as a desktop application for Windows and macOS.

Create your account

Launch Wigma

After installing, open Wigma from your applications folder or start menu.

Sign up or sign in

Click “Create Account” to sign up with your email, or use Google to sign in quickly.

Complete your profile

Add your name and optionally upload a profile picture. This helps collaborators identify you.

Create your first project

Create a new project

From the home screen, click “New Project” and give it a name. Projects help you organize related documents together.

Add your first document

Inside your project, click “New Document” to create your first writing space. You can choose from templates or start with a blank page.

Start writing

Begin typing in the editor. Your work saves automatically as you write.
Use keyboard shortcuts like Cmd/Ctrl + B for bold and Cmd/Ctrl + I for italic to format your text quickly.

Explore key features

Rich text editor

Wigma’s editor supports headings, lists, quotes, code blocks, and more. Use the formatting toolbar or keyboard shortcuts to style your content.

Atlas view

The Atlas provides a visual overview of your project structure. Access it from the sidebar to see how your documents connect.

AI assistance

Wigma includes AI-powered writing assistance to help you brainstorm, edit, and refine your work. Access it through the command palette (Cmd/Ctrl + K).

Themes

Customize your writing environment with different themes. Find them in Settings > Appearance.
